Where the listings come from. Our directory began as a survey of publicly listed waterfront access points across Florida — municipal and county park piers, state park facilities, boat ramps, jetties, marinas open to the public, and the bait shops and charter operators that serve them. Each entry records the name, address, and the operator's own phone number and website where one is published.
What we verify, and what we don't. We check that every listing is a real, findable location and that its address resolves. Street-level photography is generated from the mapped position of each site and is checked to be within roughly 45 metres of the address, so the image shows the location rather than somewhere down the road. We do not independently inspect piers, and we do not verify day-to-day hours, fees or closures — those come from the operator and change constantly. That is why every listing tells you to confirm before travelling.
What we remove. In July 2026 we audited the whole database and removed 132 entries that did not belong: businesses that are not fishing access points (apartments, vacation rentals, restaurants, a laundromat, a correctional facility and a cemetery that had been swept in by name matching), stub records with no location beyond a town name, and duplicate records for the same place. Where two records described one location, we merged them and kept the alternate name on the surviving page so it stays findable. Merged pages redirect rather than disappear.
Corrections. If a listing is wrong, closed, duplicated, or shouldn't be here at all, email hoosieradsales@gmail.com or use the contact form. Owners can ask for a listing to be corrected or removed and we will act on it. We do not charge for corrections, and we do not require you to buy advertising to have an error fixed.
Advertising and independence. This site carries Google AdSense advertising and sells featured placements directly. Paid placement never changes the factual content of a listing and never determines whether a location appears in the directory. See our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
